But this is exactly why it could be such a good fit — when people talk about Nintendo’s great hardware, they’re specifically talking about controllers. Apple would undoubtedly be more than happy to have Nintendo continue to do this aspect of the hardware business. On the flip side, one of Nintendo’s weaknesses has been the underpowered nature of the consoles themselves, which Apple could undoubtedly help with! Imagine a Nintendo console powered by the A12 chip… it just may be called an Apple TV :)
