Good point on the “profound connection” and the move away from that, Ted. It feels like they do have to be careful with that because for many users, even if they perhaps didn’t fully realize it, that was the essence of the service. That’s not to say they can’t or shouldn’t move away from that — but it’s a very different service.

I agree that there’s some overhead before the share that can slow down the process (and make it seem like “work”). But I also think Snapchat is far better than this than anyone that has come before…
