Yeah, I tried to pre-empt the “you’re doing the Valley thing” at end of the post. Didn’t work, apparently :) But I’m mindful of this, and with my family back in Ohio, and having spent 18+ years there, I see/saw it first-hand. But I also see/saw how quickly some habits can change. And this is one where I believe the “Valley folk” or whatever are a leading indicator of what is to come.

Some of your other points are solid though. In particular, advertising on television when obvious value proposition wears off is interesting. Definitely appreciate the response.
